Good on you for making it fit - where did you get it? |

It's the LVAW handguard not available for civilian sale and only available on .MIL contracts (maybe .LE?).

View Quote Unless you can find one that's 'new, old stock' it's going to be pretty tough. The new suppressor models are probably want you want to focus on. The direct thread models are SLH762, SLH762C, SLH762TI, SLH762TIC, SLX762, and SLX762C. The "C" models are the compact versions. |

Looks like an 11.5” 5.56 barrel with 10” SD Virtus handguard. |

Anyone interested in a legacy mcx lower?
I bought a Mcx and it’s going on a spare sbr lower after it gets chopped. What would be a fair price? |

It doesn’t block the laser and I use the ir setting on the light for illumination. I might throw it out all the way at the end and see how the zero holds up from taking the handguard on and off. |

Do they make SD rails for legacy uppers
|
|
|
Sig did, now very hard to find. Lancer makes their carbon fiber rails (also hard to find) and I think Midwest still offers theirs.

I had the Midwest industries one and it was very loose on the gun and wobbled. I stood on it and squeezed it together some but it was still loose so I got rid of it. I'm not sure if I got a bad one or they all like that.

I ended up having to use a picatinny attachment like a sling mount that spanned at least 2 rail sections to and tightening it on the "seam" to lock it in. But it was still less than ideal as I wasn't confident enough in it to retain zero of my rail-mounted laser (which is one of the main reasons for an SD-style handguard). Generally I've had good luck with MI products, but this was the exception. |

Midwest Industries replaced the loose 8" MPX handguard that I had. Replacement is rock solid.

It's probably already been discontinued before it ever got released. Gen 2 of it will be announced at Shot Show 2022 but it won't be compatible with Gen 1, 3 or 5.5 of the MCX. MILLE only. It only comes in am experimental caliber that's ballistically better than anything else ever made. |
