There was a 556 Classic with the adjustable butt stock for $985 in a small town gun shop here in SD about 2 months ago. I wasn't there when i was in 1 week ago.

I think if you can stay under $1100 when all is said and done and you got the model/version you *wanted*, then all is good.

I may pay less for the adjustable butt stock version than the non adjustable rear stock, but I will NOT even consider buying the first version with the fish gill fore end and the AR15 looking butt stock.
