Today I picked up a SIG 716 Patrol in Olive Drab. Fit and finish seems very good. Trigger is going to have to be improved on. Disappointed that the iron sights do not lock into position. Felt akward trying to find the sweet spot for the sling adjustment, it must be smarter than me. Have heard reports of others getting Soft, and or hard cases included, none for this purchase. Ordered up 10 extra Pmags and a 5 rounder. Need to choose an optic, giving serious consideration to a Burris MTAC 1.5X6-42, 30mm. Would like to get a picatinny mount bipod as well as a better flash hider/brake. Any sugestions?

Will check those out, thanks. For the optic, I'm thinking a low power variable with illuminated recticle, $500 range.
Meant to add earlier, specs show a ambidextrous safety,  came with right hand only.

I forgot about that too, I'm a lefty so I put on a "BAD ASS".  Ordered direct from the company, they had a deal going a few weeks ago that included three levers.  It was very easy to install and worked perfectly.

I mounted a Leupold 1.25X4 Firedot on mine and its great. 1.25 for CQB and 4 for ranges out to 500. Don't like big Scopes on Ar's

So, I ended up ordering the Votex Viper PST 1x4-24. What sold me was an illuminated recticle that could be seen, even if in off position, a recticle with moa marks to be used as a BDC and a field o view of 27.5-98ft. I thought the Burris MTAC 1.5x6-40 was good to go, but the FOV was listed as 13-33ft. I figured that had to be a miss print, so called Burris and confirmed that it was correct! So the Vortex it is, I'll let you know how it turns out.
