| Has anybody bought one of these yet ? I can't find any real world feedback on them. All I've seen is gun rag hype and Sig's own hype. It sounds good, and I would like to pick one up but I've seen coments on Sig's QC that makes me less than confident. Price wise I've seen them between $1700- $1900 that's a good price point for me if it's a quality product. I've watched the videos of the 516 getting torture tested but is the 716 it's equal ? |
| I bought one rite before the new year, and only took it to the range once,, it cycled federal 150g with no issues, I was told that the 716's had a lot of bolt bounce, but I didnt notice anything more than normal, It easily kept up with some pretty fast bump fire mag dumps... I got about 150 rounds through it, I basically got the sight mounted up, cleaned it, and oiled it, now shes in the safe, probably be there for a while... IMO , its not something super accurate that you will want to pull out to punch paper with, its not super accurate or super balanced, nothing really sticks out that makes it something you will take to the range once a week, plus ammo isnt cheap, its loud and has a little recoil to her, but if you are in the market for a 7.62 ar, you get a lot for your money... I think the hk762 is going to be around $4000 so this gun or $1500 isnt too shabby... |

Thanks turb0,
While I probably wont be doing bump fire mag dumps, I will run it pretty hard. I knew it wouldn't be a MOA shooter so that's ok too. I want reliability, not something that is gonna break or jam it's way through a carbine class. I might hunt with it just for kicks, so clean kills on deer and hogs out to 200 yds or so is accurate enough for me. Glad to hear some real feedback. I'm probably gonna go ahead and bid on one on gunbroker soon. Good shooting and be safe. |
