par for the course for SIG. Announce new product. Miss proposed release date by a mile.

It'll come out when it's ready.

Let's hope SIG has learned it's lesson and is thoroughly testing it before releasing it so as not to repeat the same mistake they did by releasing the GSR, P250, 556, Mosquito etc with problems that should have been caught before release.

Please SIG. Take your time, and release a good product the first time. I am worried that your reputation may not be able to survive another hit to it.

Sig rep was at my local dealer last week. Said it will be out in the fall.

I hope it shoots a little better than my 556.  I am getting 1.5 MOA which is okay for a .223 for me but a full power cartridge like a .308 should be a little better for me to buy it.  Hopefully Sig will get all the kinks worked out and then once the excitement wears off I may get one next year if it does come out this fall.  I need a .308 battle rifle .

Frank,

I hope so too. I like my 556 and it shoots well for me as it is a battle rifle so to speak and is really reliable.  I use a bolt gun for target shooting. I have AR 10's, Rock Rivers LAR 308 and several others and they shoot 1.5" as well. For a semi auto thats the norm.

You never dealt with manufacturing have you? LOL

I can assure you, something like this not only pertains to the firearms industry.

I'm sure it probably is. I have just seen it time and again with SIG and new products. It doesn't really bother me. I have plenty of SIGs to tide me over. I have just learned to ignore any projected dates they give. It will come out when it comes out. I'll get excited when I see them on gun broker and even more so when one shows up at my local gun shop. Until then I will shoot the ones I have happily. I'd rather they get it out right slowly, then quickly but before it's ready.

Given Sig's recent history I'll wait for the H&K version
