Been having a few problems with my new SIG 522, thought I would share!
Side note: Never load the BDM drum unless your ready to shoot! I loaded mine, then tried to unload it and the thing jammed up so bad I had to take it apart to clear it! With two pages of instructions on how to dis assemble it, that was no easy feat! If you buy one, take it apart and back together again a few times to familiarize yourself in doing it right! No malfunctions so far, works like magic every time!! And BDM does make the SIG mags in case you were wondering |

How are you unloading it in a way that would be different from the magazine feeding into the rifle? Have you tried it for reliability purposes yet? |

How are you unloading it in a way that would be different from the magazine feeding into the rifle? Have you tried it for reliability purposes yet? Well lets see if I can clarify things a bit. The drum has a thumb activated tensioner in the back. To load the rounds you pull tension off with your thumb, then feed a round repeat X50!! To unload the drum you do the same thing! Release some tension and remove a round X50! I have unloaded magazines thousands of times. But the two times I tried it with the BDM drum, it jammed up inside the tower! The tower is the part that goes into the rifle. Like I said above, field stripping the drum is very close to rocket science Another side note: I now have 8 E clips in the PG just in case!! I am working on adding some critical parts from SIG to this little emergency package, just in case!! |
