| Got my new classic swat today with the Sig diopter and hooded front sight and was disappointed to find out that when I slapped my EOTech on, the sights wouldn't co-witness. Is there any solution to this other than getting a new optic or new sights? If not looks like I'll have a set of sights up for sale and have to go with some Troy's. Unless there is someone out there who is looking for a trade..... |
| You could sell your EoTech and get a Aimpoint in the low mount and it cowitnesses very nicely. Either that, our you will have to take off the sights of your rifle and go with some other Buis like the Troys you mentioned. You could probably get $175 for the diopter sight and front sight combo. They sell new for $225. |

I decided to go with selling my sights and ordered some fde Troy battle sights. Going to put up my Sig sights for $200 free shipping because they are basically new with the exception of the roll pin that you have to tap out. Just got them off my rifle (pretty easy to do once you get the right punch for the roll pin). PM me if anyone is interested....Thanks for the advice.
****Edit***** Sold my sights today and ordered my Troy battle sights. Got FDE HK style front folder and FDE rear di-optic folder. Can't wait to get them on along with all the other accessories I purchased today. This will be my first attempt at a FDE/Black theme, hope it turns out as good as it looks in my head... |

Ha! should have read this thread last Saturday if it had been posted. Bought a set of Sig diopter sights at a local gunshop for $250.. got it home.. and on went the eotech 512.. same deal.. Centurion Arms has a set of HK 416 sights set to the M16 height for a little over 200. I've got two 556s the one I put the diopter sights on is the green commando version. think I'll just leave the sights on it and put the eotech on my older sig 556 and buy some Centurion or Troy sights for it.
The troy sights on my Ruger 556 are sweet.. work great with the C-More sight I have on it. |
