I posted this in another thread but its been a couple days with no reply, so let me try here.
I picked up my Sig Classic last week and love it. I DO have a couple of questions other owners out there may be able to answer for me. Q1- How does the sling attach? It comes with one, doesn't say how it attaches in the manual. I can see the clip on one end most likely attaches to circular attachment under barrel? What about the rear attach point. There is nothing on the classic sling to attach it to (looks like underbarrel thing might be part of a bayonet lug?) Q2- Is the trigger guard on the Classic interchangeable with AR trigger guards? Meaning, can I swap out the straight guard for a Magpul enhanced? Q3- Is the flash hider/suppressor on the Classic interchangeable with same threads as an AR flash hider? How difficult is the change out if so? Ok., that would pretty much do it for me. Thanks in advance |
| don't know what the 'classic' is...I have a Sig556, one of the low serial numbers, and I can't figure out how any of your answers wouldn;t be clear, so the models mus t be different. Try the 'sigarms556.com' forum first - it is not the official Sig forum, but if you want a ton of info on them, pix, etc., that's the place to go. post a pic, i'l try to find this thread again (or pm it to me) - I'll answer what I can. |
Sling? mine didn't come with one, or it was stripped between getting from sig to me. I just threw an AK sling on it
works fine. Get rid of the noise at the front attach via black tape around the metal parts. The barrel threads are the same, 1/2 x 28, same as AR's also. |
