This was supposed to be a "limited edition" but it seems like there are a bunch out there.
Anyone know how many were produced, or if they still are being made? |

Correct. They were a Sports South Exclusive Special Edition of 1000 rifles. Sports South sold the last of them before the end of November. There are a handful still available from dealers, but most are now in the hands of shooters.

Between Gunbroker.com and GunsAmerica combined there are currently three available for sale. I suppose if the owners of all 1000 posted photos of their Commandos, it would seem like one hell of lot of them, but I've only seen maybe 20-30 different Commandos on the various boards including my own. |
| I really like my Commando - much more than the stock 556. I had a chance to get a stock 556 recently at a decent price but realized I could not live with the cheesy furniture, and by the time I replaced all that I would be well over the price of another Commando. So, next purchase will be another Commando, or a Classic. |
