| Im looking for an easy to use software package to run a small business in the near future and wanted to know if anyone uses Quickbooks? Has Intuit changed it stance on Firearms related sales? |

Quoted:
They won't let you run CC for a firearms business, but you can use the software to maintain your books. Thanks for the info. How ridiculous on the CC. Any recommendations for CC? For now its going to be Pistol Permit classes only. Would like to be able to offer CC payments. |
| I just use my local bank's merchant account. Quickbooks is awesome if you have employees and do a lot of transactions. Though it is useless if you are just small business with no employees, and not much transactions. It would be better to use a opensource accounting system |

For low-volume CC processing look into EMSPlus, no monthly nut and just a percentage per transaction: http://plusbyems.com/
If you get into higher volumes most FFL's use PAI or TransNational. |

Quickbooks Pro works well enough, there really isn't too many options. Being able to link up to your bank accounts and reconcile is a massive time saver.
I don't really like the software, they break features and offer little to no improvements in the releases. I only update when forced every few years. IMS sucks, the Intuit CC processor. PAI is pro gun. |

Pistol Permit class is just consultant services / education / training. Don't say it's firearms. Quoted:
