A customer used some off the wall ammo his friend made.

It was either too much powder or the upper had a crack that went undetected when we built the AR pistol.

Anyway the guy calls us and tells me the gun has jammed and not fed properly from day one.

This is 4 weeks later after UPS delivered it to the guys FFL.

I personally test fired it after my guys built it.

It ran smooth as silk.

OK, we get the gun back and I check it over, I find a 22 LR mangled in the lower, broken and bent parts in the lower too.

I'm like WTF?

How the hell could this happen.

In the upper I find pieces of brass from shell casings.

The guy says , yes he used a conversion kit and fired 22 LR through it.

I don't know what happened to this gun but we replaced the lower parts kit and the upper receiver too, at our expense.

The gun has been here a little over three weeks and is going out this week.

The guy is relentless in e-mailing me and busting us on how fucking long it's taking?

One more nasty gram and I'm going to bill him for time & materials to fix his fuck up.

This.

Whether it is his fuck up or not, good customer services means taking care of it without unnecessary delay. Grow thicker skin over annoying emails and set expectations up front.
