I called in several checks yesterday, and each time there was a considerable delay before I got the NTN, never mind the result of the check. Anyone else notice this?

Used to take 5 minutes a year ago for me to buy. The last 3 guns I've bought, been about a 20 minute delay before I got the "proceed"
I don't sell em, I just buy one here and there

Haven't noticed anything lately. We use the online NICS and will get a reply in under a minute usually. The only slow time we see is at 5:00pm CST, I don't know if it is a shift change or what, but it takes a few minutes to get a response....

The one and only time I got "wait music" was during the snowstorms on the east coast last month.
I've noticed no difference in quality or speed of service over the last year.
I wish the USPS ran as efficiently as NICS.

I noticed online it is taking longer. Normally it has an answer right away, but it will say "researching"
