For a FFL to move physical locations, I see the form to apply for an amended FFL license.  How long does it normally take to get that approved?  Is there an ATF inspection of the new premises that happens at a certain point in the process?

I just went through a change of premises.

While the Licensing Center (FFLC) says to give them thirty days notice, it took sixty one days to get my updated FFL and for ATF to update the ATF FFL EZcheck.

An ATF Industry Operations Investigator did come out to inspect my new premises.

I relocated to another state and it took over 3 months.  Within a state I've seen it take exactly 30 days to the day.

I recently moved locations and while it says to give 30 days, I did not receive my updated FFL for over 4 months.  It was terrible.  I have moved in the past, and it never took anywhere near that long.  I was audited, in which I was found to have everything in order and perfect.  I was really disappointed in how long it took, even after a bunch of emails, and phone calls

Any explanation from your local ATF?

I never did get a good explanation.  All that was told to me is, I have turned in everything to my superior and it is out of my hands now.  I was also told that things are very slow right now.  This was my third time moving and the first two times, I had my updated FFL in under 30 days.  I am just glad to have everything finally  squared away.

I had mine within 30 days and was good to go. I never missed a day so I guess I was lucky.
