Me and a couple friends are in Iraq right now. We are a little concerned that when we get back there would be a problem getting our weapons. We have on average of 2-3 weapons as of now to pick up. Is there a limit on how many pistols we can pick up or purchase how about with rifles??

No limit in Texas, there is is some other states though.

There is a very very small chance that if you pick up several at once the ATF will contact you to make sure you aren't straw purchasing or buying for mexico.

Stay safe over there.

As said above, there is no limit in Texas.

When you go to your FFL to do the 4473 and NICS, he'll only be asked on the NICS check "what type of firearm?"––––Not how many.

Note that if you purchase more than one handgun from the same dealer in a five business day period, a "Multiple Sale of Handgun" report is sent to ATF by your dealer. You could buy twenty long guns, six AR lowers and a handgun––-no report. Buy a Ruger Vaquero and a Glock- dealer sends in the Multiple Sale report.

Thats good to know thank you! I want to buy about 3 more guns right now. Im not worried if they call to check up on me. Just worried that they might not let us purchase anymore or something like that. Thanks!

One copy gets set to the ATF, one goes to the state police records division, and the FFL keeps one.

No, I've never understood why it's even required.  Even my BATF examiner said he thought it was a waste of paperwork because it just gets filed with no action required.

Same thing happens in MO also. There is no limit on how many firearms you can purchase at one time. More than one handgun in 5 days then we do a form also. The one I keep I just staple it to the 4473 form. The sheriff gets one and the other is sent or faxed to the ATF.

+1 on no limits federally, but know your state laws. Some states restrict handgun purchases to one a month, for instance. And the limit is enforced on the transfer dates, not the actual purchase date(s)
