[ARCHIVED THREAD] - how long to get application packet?

I sent for my application packet three weeks ago and have not gotten it yet. Is this normal? How long does it typically take to get the application?

I ordered mine around the first of January and just got it in Tuesday. I called the FFLC and they said that they were out of the packets and were getting them reprinted. You may want try calling them and see if they ran out again. Anyway I hope the application process don't take longer than usual.

I called and requested my packet today. I asked the lady I spoke with how long I should expect to wait before I received it. She said, "I'll put it in the mail today."

We'll see.

Sounds good, maybe they have enough now. I waited almost 2 months for mine. Anyway has anyone heard what the wait is now for the application to go through? I hear there is a bunch of people trying to get their FFL now.

It takes much longer to get anything done with the Fed. bureaucracy. My FFL took 7 months.
