[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Paperwork issues, what to do?

I have a compliance check coming up this week. I was going over my 4473's tonight, and discovered errors, mostly dates, such as the date information was transmitted to NICS or appropriate state agency, and the date transfered on line 36.

I also found one that had a different certification date (line 17, after buyers signature) than the date it was transfered-buyer entered the wrong date, but I did not catch it.

Can I legally correct these somehow, before my compliance check, or should I point them out to the agent when they arrive?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found a notice ,instructions, and definitions on the 4473 and found how to make changes.

Nice that they gave you a heads up on when they will be there.

They came to our shop one night and stated they were doing a compliance inspection.
They just showed up out of the blue and we had customers to take care of.

I am very happy I wasn't home the day they stopped by. I am able to get everything in order before they show up. Not that it wasn't to begin with, but a little more organized.
