I can't wait to get my hands on one of these. |

So a Tavor trigger will cost you 2.9 times more what a Mossberg trigger will run. How much of that is
A: added complexity of design/manufacture? B: more expensive materials? C: smaller volume of projected sales? D: perceived buying power of a Tavor owner vs. a Mossberg owner? |
| If worse comes to worse .The trigger with the reset spring removed ain't that bad . I have an Aimpoint pro mounted on mine ,and I can hit a 6 inch steel gong 30 times out of 30 fireing rapidly ( 2 seconds or under each shot ) and I'm an old man ( 62 years old ) with old eyes. I would love a 4 pound trigger on it ,but not at over $300.00 . The price will come down sooner or later . |

D: perceived buying power of a Tavor owner vs. a Mossberg owner? I think this is what it boils down to. How much will the market bear? If they don't sell at the initial price point, prices will come down. If everyone runs out to buy them, the price will stay where it is (or increase). |

Yea, but does that explain 100% of the increase? 75%? 50%? Does anyone know the mechanics of both triggers welll? Quoted:

Exactly. The guy with 2 grand worth of Tavor will pay a hell of a lot more than the guy with a $400 Mossberg rifle. Yea, but does that explain 100% of the increase? 75%? 50%? Does anyone know the mechanics of both triggers welll? Of course it explains it. I'd be willing to bet that Timney and Geissele will both have backorders for at least 6 months after release. |

I purchased a SCAR 17 trigger from Timney and the earlier units did not have the metal plate under the unit so it dug the screws into the plastic lower. I loc-tited it and it worked loose and had doubles.
I sent it back and they sent me a new one. This one doubled occaisionally but came with the metal plate and I had trouble with mil-spec primers not going off. I then contacted them and they had changed the spring tension so they sent me the red spring. The gun doubled and tripled which was not very pleasant at a public range-people tend to get real pissy real fast there. So I gave up on it and they had no explanation or fix. Got my refund and bought a Geissele and could not be happier-perfect trigger out the box and it works. Buyer beware on the Timney |

Has Geisselle mentioned if they'll have on on display at SHOT? Yes! Source? In regards to price, if the Geissele trigger does come along during SHOT, that will actually be 3 aftermarket TAVOR triggers hitting the show at the same time (3rd one from Shooting Sight, LLC . That amount of competition just might drive the prices down a tad after the initial rush. |
