I want to cut into my FS2000 forearm and mount a surfire light.  Where might I find another standard forearm, before I start cutting?

Good deal.  I'll place the order tomorrow.

I was planning on using a Surefire G2 with an LED bulb, I have a spare on hand.

Unless somebody has a better idea.

Nothing wrong with a g2 for home defense..

May want a better lamp upgrade for outdoor use, as the darkeness eats 80-120 lumens pretty close

Yup, I'd take a look at the Q5 drop in lamp replacement sold by TNVC should get you to about 220 lumens and that's good-to-go for outdoor illumination.

Excellent, I just checked those out.  Ive got plenty of nice Surefires sitting around courtesy of Uncle Sam.  From what Ive seen the G2 series seems to lend itself to fitting in the FS2000 due to its plastic shell and diameter.  Unless somebody has seen it done a better way with a smallter diameter aluminum tube?

I will definately invest in the upgrade for my G2.

I placed my parts order today.

Who knew that the extractor was over 100 dollars and the firing pin was 95?

Crazy isn't it?

It's far cheaper to buy nother fs2000 for $1300-1500 and zombie the parts

I got the dremel tool out today and went to work.

Now I have to figure out which side to secure the pressure switch.  The light feels pretty solid and secure in the forearm.

Nice. What tailcap are you using?

Not sure about the model number.  It doesnt have an on/off switch.  The cable goes through a gasket and cannot be removed.  It costs more than the light.
