| Looking to get a second bullpup after the PS90 and I have a budget of about 2k for the whole package. Not looking to get an MSAR, having played around with it a little and fired a few rounds, it wasn't for me. Just fit me funny. I do however have a strong leaning towards either an FS2000 or an RFB. Thoughts? Also, any other unique style bullpups I should know about? I'm always open to something different. |
| And I do like that it's a .308, but I only shoot match loads for my M1A, not just cheap milsurp, thus I don't have any extra .308 lying around. I do on the other hand have quite a bit of 5.56 and when it's about 150 or so less per 1K for reloadable brass, l like that a bit more. Still, the RFB definitely has the unique factor |

I have an RFB and love it. Handy as hell, last year I shot a deer off my weak side that I doubt I could have done with a regular rifle. I just wish I had a longer barrel as it would still be handy and reach out a bit further. Oh, by the way it was one shot - one doe. |
| meh, already have a loaded M1A that I use for CMP/NRA matches. One is enough. I am really digging the FS2000 though. .....AND now that MI residents can have suppressors, what's a good option for canning a FS2k. That would be a big one. If I'm going to get a can, I want something I can use for my AR as well. |

Basically YOU answered your own question
You do not like the MSAR because of the feel, well that eliminates all the AUGs and AUG clones You do not like 308 so that eliminates the RFB All you have left is the FS2000, I have all the bullpups and all the versions of the FS2000 get the one without the scope, the scope is really cheap junk The FS2000 does not handle well if you like shooting standing, it is too butt heavy so swings too lively. Try one of those tri rails and the rifle feels fantastic |

Still, the RFB definitely has the unique factor I was in the same boat a few months ago. I walked in to the local fun shop with the intention of buying a FS2000. They happened to had just gotten a RFB. So I handled both the FS2000 and the RFB... I thought the extra 556 I have laying around would be the deciding factor (and I'm a big fan of FN), but after fingering both, side-by-side, the RFB followed me home! You gotta stick with what feels right!! |

Wish I could SBR but in MI, that's a no-no.
I don't think the .308 is a deciding factor, just not a plus. I'm more concerned about the reliability than anything else. FN is a solid business with a good history, kel tec on the other hand, I just don't know. If anything, I want to know what else is out there for bullpups. Sans the few that were already discussed, are there others? |

FS2000, thought I wanted an AUG, but bought the FS2000 for $1300 new and I am very happy, a fun gun with a practical use, proper weight distribution too. And the brass ejects out the front, not right under your cheek. Where'd you find one for $1300? I'd buy 2 at that price lol |

CDNN did have the Optical model for that price. However they sold out. If you get one get the Tactical with the aluminum rail on the top. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_93/905827_FNH_FS2000_Standard_with_scope_NoVa_.html http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_93/902759_WTS_WTT_FN_FS2000_Tactical_Price_Drop__1999_99.html http://fnforum.net/august-september-fn-sale-at-a-a-arsenal-t29650.html?highlight=fs2000 |

I have had the FS2K since 2006, owned TWO pieces of MSAR shit and had to get my money back after the second one, and own a Steyr AUG A3 and out of all of the bullpups shooting thousands of rounds in all 3 platforms I would take the Steyr and the Micro Aimpoint combo I have on it and never look back.
The AUG comes with a nice carry case, 2 30 round mags, a rail on the side for lights, a verticle grip, and a quick change barrel available in 16, 20 and 24" variants. The AUG has a more sturdy feel and will not have peices of plastic break off with normal usage. It is a superb weapon. The FS is now cheaper but when I bough mine it was not, the AUG will APPRECIATE whereas the FS has already dropped $4-500 from 2006, and the MSAR the bottom fell out of. There are only 1,800 of the AUG A3's out there-sure to be a collectible. |

The RFB doesn't have the ability to chamber check that you have with the FS2000 and that's a nice feature to have for safety reasons IMO. Problem with the FS2000 though is that spare parts are a total rip off. Pure highway robbery prices through Browning in my opinion. Ergonomics are subjective so too each their own there. Stock trigger on the FS2000 is aweful so you'll want a Neu-Trigger. Get Judochop's aftermarket charging handle if they're still available. Remember they come stock with a pinned muzzle break as well that isn't that great so you might want to look into Hi-Desert Dog or ADCO. |

Man, The Steyr Aug has to have the Sexiest shade of Black. |

The Kel-Tec RFB is also cool since it's a .308 caliber bullpup.
