Steyr AUGA3 project is finally completed.  Now it's time to focus on other projects.

Now it can join my AUGA1!

Great looking set you have there.
You did a nice photo shoot of them too.

Well, the A3 does incorporate the modern improvements desired by operators today.  However, I still like the classic looks of the A1.  They both, however need a trigger tamer IMHO.

Trigger Tamer's suck compared to the Neu Trigger.  I think they even came on here once and threatened to sue some guy who was making a similar device for his own use.

You're right - that thread got deleted after the crew opened a huge can of whoop-ass on him.

"The inventor is not just a gun enthusiast, he's a lawyer!"

Can't speak to the product but if it came down to using a TT or having to use a Jaws of Life each time I wanted to pull the trigger, I'd have to figure out how to get a JoL in my range bag.

The irony is - I'm pretty sure the person he was threatening was Dr. Coffee even though the Doc never mentioned selling anything, just some ideas he was working on for his own personal use.

ETA - Grammer.

I'm not familiar with the Neu Trigger, but always open to a better product.  Is there a website to search?

Thx

Here is the manufacture's website

http://www.neu-trigger.com/

Here is a thread with people talking about it

http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=6&f=43&t=322685&light=

It was developed by a member here, DrCoffee (hence the irony in my post above).  Due to the no selling rules in the forum he can't post about it but if you hit the e mail link on the website that's who you will get.

If you decide to go that route you'll, most likely, look at it and say "WTF - why didn't I think of that?".  A sliver of metal and 1 minute install makes a huge difference IMO.

BTW - sorry for ranting in your post.  The TT words just do something weird to me.

There's also "Trigger Lite", sold by a guy on Ebay, gets good reviews.

Allt hose things do is provide a smoother surface for the hammer "hook" to slide against.  Its that simple.  I looked at mine and could see a line of flashing down the center when it came off the mold.  I simply smoothed that line off and my trigger pull became significantly better.  I did this for a friend on his MSAR and his was even better than my Steyr.  It took me about 30 seconds with a file.

I typically smooth the contact surfaces of the hammer in most of my firearms to improve the trigger pull.  Its not brain science.
