TA11H-308. Just a hair over your price range.

What did you give for your RFB?.....just kidding I don't care. It's a rude question.

Older style elcan C79 should work nicely with the 762 base, or find used ACOG TA11 in 308?
Or the new Vortex 30mm 1-4 tactical scope.  All of these are @ $500 but the ACOG $8-900
well under your budget.

I went with the 1x4 Trijicon 30mm Accupoint with the green reticle.

I bought the scope last Christmas and I have been waiting to find a RFB to put it on.

I've tried a Burris DMS and i liked it, but i went with an Eotech for quicker handling and unlimited eye relief, and threw the DMS on a Recce...

(ETA my optics budget was a bit more conservative than yours after buying the rifle a couple months ago... (45x)

US Optics SN-4 or Trijicon AccuPoint. Horus Vision is selling their Talon scope for, like, $600. It's a great scope and you could also get a BOBRO or LaRue mount and still have some cash for accessories or ammo.
