I have some that I got with my gun the other day.  I don't really need or want them.  The previous owner said they worked fine for him.  Anyway, I'm not trying to turn this into a FOR SALE ad or anything like that. I just need to know how much they're worth so I can price them accordingly.  There isn't much to go on price wise in the EE.

Thanks in advance

Advice on pricing is welcome (I have some, but I have no idea what they are worth beyond the old "whatever someone is willing to pay...").

But DO NOT turn this into a sale/trade/EE thread!

If you want to IM the OP, fine, but avoid the temptation to post "IM sent." here.

I'd say you could probably get about 1/2 the current going rate of a Pmag for them.  PMags are so cheap, and so liked, I don't see anyone paying for than 2 for 1 for the MSAR mag.  They're very good mags too - solid, see through for round counting, textured for a good grip.  I wish I had 10 of them for Desert Storm instead of the old Bud cans recycled into AR mags that I had.

Hardshell,
no worries of making a sale here.  I was going to offer him advice to play with rit dye if he had the green ones.

I too didn't care for the MSAR mags at first. but they have grown on me and have functioned as designed.

My comment wasn't aimed at you, or any one else, in particular –– just a general warning.

A "What is this worth?" thread can yield a bunch of "I'll trade you X for it!" or "IM sent with offer" posts in a hurry, and that isn't acceptable in the tech forums.

Heck, I've even seen it happen in a value question thread that I have started in the past.

And I am genuinely curious what they are worth on the open market, even though Iplan on keeping the ones I have.

Joe unless they are truly driven to get rid of them I would keep them.  If nothing more than the novelty of them.  I don't think you could get a fair price for them now.  MSAR mags have a dark cloud over them.  That may change in the future.  Mine run 100%.

+1

That's what I was thinking too.

I have a bunch of MSAR Mags as well.  I usually run all PMAGs but these MSAR mags are starting to grow on me as well.  They run 100% and although the transparent plastic is a bit of getting use to, it is quite practical to be able to see thru...

What's with the dark cloud?  Mine run 100%.  I think Ratworx is selling 30's for about 20-25 dollars.

I'd take 'em to a gun show and see what you could trade into for them.
