STG + Elcan SpecterDR = ?? can anyone answer this question?
I am selling an UZI to get some $$ for this optic. Before I buy one, I want opinions, pics.

Great optic.  I have one on my AUG.

I've seen three or four different guys here running a Specter DR on their AUGs/STGs.

Wasn't there an improvement of the arms throw levers on later versions? Might want to look into that see if there is anything to that.

I have a E4 rail on my STG. Is it Mil Spec? Are there any issues with ARMS throw levers on the E4 Rail?

Great glass but I'm not a big fan of the reticle choice. If you're okay with that aspect of the device it's a nice optic.

Mine fits just fine.

So when are all the guys who say they have on on and AUG/MSAR actually going to post a pic?

Yeah, Pics! and any advantages over an ACOG would be appreciated.
I do not have the money to try out many different optics for my STG
I currently run an Aimpoint M4S with a 3x magnifier
The Elcan specter dr seems like a good replacement, but I also hear good things about ACOG

Cool thing about the ACOG is they are made just  a few hours from my house.

Not to hijack the thread but where does one get an Elcan Spectre? It was my impression they don't sell to civvies.

You would think by now someone would have posted a pic.

Google search.  They aren't hard to find.  They are, however, insanely expensive.

I'd have one on mine if I could afford it.  For my application it would be the perfect setup.

The newer ones I've seen with SOCOM have the ability to attach a mini-red dot reflex sight on top of it.

I've heard that the newest gen is called Gen 3 and they're suppose to have a better mount.

What do they charge for THAT one?  An arm AND a leg?

a lot more than I would pay for sure. I like my factory optic just fine.
I may like a decent red dot in the future but those elcans are way too much money for me to rationalize buying one.

I've shot a buddy's AR with a Specter on top, and to be quite honest––it IS freakin' awesome.  $1,800 is WAY to steep for me, but if you can afford it, I say go for it.  If I could afford one, I'd be all over it.
