does any one know why there was a hold in the production of the FAMAS in the early 1970's?

It is hell on brass cases. They solved the issue by using steel cases. Thing is GIAT no longer makes rifle ammo, so the French are up a creek, vis-a-vie the F1. They have not made/issued the G2 in large numbers. The F1's being used are old and beat to shit. This and they never solved the issues with torn case head, etc, etc. from the 1970's, so without the steel cases, the F1 and G2 are having "issues" again. |

Great gun. Super accurate and great knock down power. Stopping power is not necessary with this gun, so it frees up the Tier 2 Perk for something like danger close or cold blooded. I like the 3 shot burst and grenade launcher.
Never had any type of failure to feed, fire or eject. Ammo is easy to aquire, just use Scavenger Pro or One Man Army. |
