Yeah, months back a member here purchased that very case for his STG-556 and he seemed pretty pleased with it.

For a 16" MSAR, any case with a 27" internal dimension will fit the rifle with the barrel installed, or any case with at least 20" clear internal will fit the rifle with the barrel removed.  You need about 8.5" to 9"  vertical minimum to fit the stock and receiver with E4 factory optic.  Looks like a nice case to me!

Any mag pockets on that?  Otherwise, looks great.
Been stashing mine in a carbine case, but it's a little oversize.

This is what I ended up with and I am satisfied. Works for me.
I looked at the tennis racket bags I could find around here and all were kind of cheaply made and over priced.

Has Velcro straps to secure weapon and about 1.5  in at each end with a 16in. bbl. and tall enough with optics installed.

2020, Can you fit a 16" barrel in the Larue case assembled?  That would be tits.

AMS cases.  Made in USA, lifetime warranty.

Halfway between the 30 buck import case, and the 140 buck LaRue.

Mag pockets inside, with a padded divider.  I use one with a 16" AR in it, and carry a 20" upper at the same time.

Scroll down to the bottom for the rectangular case.

This is the case I use when I'm not using my tennis racket bag.  Fits a 16" AUG perfectly!

No, the 16" barrel wouldn't fit in this case assembled.  The OAL has to be 26" or less.

I bought the largest case they had and I had to return it because it was too small.  What size case did you buy?

I bought a HEAD tournament bag.  I put two three inch pieces of foam the main compartment.  It fits the gun with a mag inserted.   It also has four pockets on the outside.  I have light, sling, lots of mags, and a cleaning kit in them.  There is lots of room in this bag for all of my range necessities.

Heres what I use. I use the 36" for the E4, its a little long, but I still like it. Its the 2nd Condor case I've purchased and are good products for the money.

Well the bulldog case works fine, has 2 pockets inside that will hold at least 2 mags each.
Only problem is doesn't fit with my optic on the rifle (cheapo 2-7x35 scope in a PEPR mount),
about another inch and it would fit.

I looked at the bulldog cases, but decided to go with Uncle Mike's medium tactical case instead. my E4 fits in it just fine, but I have to fold down the forward grip-otherwise I can't zip the top of it over the optic. WIth it folded down, there is plenty of room to close up bag...
