Hi all.
Considering adding an optic version of the msar and wanted input on the different Heights of the optics between the stg and e4. I know the e4 is higher and closer to tje orignal aug. Any personal experiences From those who use them ? Both comfortable cheek weld? Any thoughts ? |

I picked up my E4 today. It's a 20" version with the optics as I won't have the money for the optic I want for another month or two and I go nuts when I have a rifle that can't be used if I need it. Anyway, when I brought the rifle up to my shoulder everything just fell into line. For me, the E4 optic is about perfect in height. I think I'd even stay with the optic if there was a way give it the same features as the ACOG. Then it would be perfect.

Optic on the newere E4 is 1/2" higher than the STG-556.
I was originally under the impression that actually all new rifles came with the 1/2" higher optic, but someone else intimated that the STG's have the lower optic and the E4's have the higher optic. Or maybe there is still a supply of the lower scopes adn when they run out all new STG-556's will have the higher one. Who knows, LOL... |
