2. Are there any functional, reliability or quality differences between factory AUG mags vs. factory MSAR mags and are they interchangeable with no issue in the Gen IV STG?

14" LOP IIRC.
Altough theoreitcally the mags are intercahngeable, some people have had good luck, some have had bad. I woudl stick to factory MSAR mags for an MSAR gun, and factory AUG mags for an AUG.

Until recently, I've used nothing but slightly altered Steyr AUG 30- and 42- round magazines in my STG-556 with no issues as I could not find a reliable source for the MSAR magazines. Both seem to work as well to me.
