| Lets talk about the MCS again. We thought it was to be like the STG556 but I think Dave has said in a post that it is completely different. What say you? |

Either Dave told me directly or he said in a post somewhere that the MCS was going to be completely different from the one seen at the SHOT show. I called Ratworx and talked to Chris. He said that from what he knows, the MCS will be similar to the one shown at SHOT 2009

Cool thing about the MCS is it will provide to folks something no other pistol caliber carbine can provide and that's the SHORT overall length that comes with a bullpup.
Cheaper 9mm ammunition for shooting, Glock magazines, and the lower price tag will fit really well with this economy. Folks can get a nice new pistol caliber carbine unlike anything else out there without having to buy new magazines or spend a lot to feed it. Smart to come out with the .45 ACP first. The rush to get the "oh I've got to be the first to have it" will bring folks willing to get the .45 ACP. Later when you go to the masses have the 9mm available and you'll get a nice second wind along with .45 ACP folks looking to covert for the cheaper 9mm. Should be able to do really nice. Good thing for us here is that it will bring more people into the bullpup community. If someone digs their pistol caliber MCS they may get a more expensive 5.56 STGE4 or other bullpup. |

You have got to stop saying things like this. My bank account is screaming for mercy as it is. If only I made more money...I really need an MCS in 45 ACP and an STG556. |

Will the MCS in 9mm take G19 mags? Nobody has answered this since it showed up at SHOT. It would suck to have the 19 as your sidearm but not be able to use the mags in the MCS It is a mixed bag: The Glock 19 is a very popular side arm. So for that reason you would hope the MCS could use the Glock 19 mags. But if you carry the Glock 19. Why use Glock 19 mags for a reload. Why not just use Glock 17 mags for your reload. You pick the Glock 19 because it is smaller and easier to conceal, but wouldn’t you be better reloading with 17 rounds rather than 15 rounds. The Glock 17 mags are not much longer and will not print any more than a Glock 19 mag. |

MSAR, I've been following the jem of the MCS since inception and I've been quite impressed. So far the calibers of 9mm, 40S&W, 357Sig, and 10mm have been confirmed with the use of Glock magazines. Have you considered offering the MCS in a 5.7x28 chambering which takes FiveSeven magazines? From an entreprenuer perspective, this would fill a role that does not exist even with the PS90 and AR57 offerings. Pros over a PS90: - The PS90 is quite popular and doesn't offer the interchangeability of magazines (30rnd) with it's pistol counterpart the FiveSeven. A magazine interchangable weapons system from a caliber that takes advantage of a longer barrel (9mm, 40S&W, 357Sig, and 10mm are not remarkable according to ballisticsbyinch.com) would be a perfect setup and the modern version of a 357 revolver/lever gun concept. - At 4.5 lbs the MCS would be 2 lbs lighter which is very significant. - The MCS would underprice the PS90 dramatically at $1000 vs $1700 TriRail - Ergonomics; while matter of individual, I've tried very hard, but I do not feel comfortable holding a PS90 due to the grips. Many people who've gone the AR57 route share this ideology. The AUG/STG/E4 platform is a natural hold for me and at a few pounds lighter in the MCS... near perfect. Very Respectfully, Supra |
