What type of optics are people fitting.
Currently using a DMS-1, just wondering what others are using. Would like something bigger, just not sure how far to go. |

Tomac Yep, ISM-V. I like it. It's kind of huge, but the quality is great. 2 MOA dot, lots of buttons and settings, visible laser which zeros along with the dot; has a cool gadgety factor to it... |

Got a friend with a USO SN-4 on his STG and it's about the ideal type of optic for this rifle if it weren't for the weight. It's a true 1x scope and goes up to 4x, has a ranging system as well as illuminated reticle. It has a circle with a cheveron inside of it and makes for an awesome optic. Just wish it was a little lighter that's all.

haha, let it be known that was just an accuracy experiment...
But the pros were a nice 3.5x magnification, nice cheek weld and without that sunshade, i bet it wouldnt be too cumbersome. Cons, 3.5 was the lowest setting and it had little eye relief. it was okay while prone, but no good while standing. I wouldnt recommend it. That USO sounds nice though. |

Actually have been thinking about doing an STG match rifle at some point here with the bi-pod and a serious scope for fun.
Been inspired by the Military Channel Top Sniper Competition where the Irish were using the AUG (won the helicopter leg of the competition with it if I recall correctly). |

I've got an Elcan spectre RD. Love it so far. 3 MOA dot... 6 year battery life. Bullet drop compensation. http://www.gunco.net/gallery/watermark.php?file=15868&size=1 Nice! Tomac |

Anyone using an Ellis Optics unit yet. The MK-7 Omega or DM might be a good option. Anyone any idea on price. The Omega looks interesting but the DM is probably overkill on the STG. I'd like to know the price as well but since they require you to call to get a price it's probably out of my price range. Tomac |

Anyone tried an IOR scope on their AUG. Yeah... the 4x24 M2 with CQB reticule. I thought it was a bit too heavy... and you'd have to use higher rings to get good cheek weld with the normal rail. I switched to this: http://www.gunco.net/gallery/watermark.php?file=15965&size=1 Are those monkeys on your rifle? |
