What are the pros and cons? Why does MSAR void the warranty if you have it installed? Why is a piece of plastic $50?IMO the trigger assy needs help.

PROs: Lighter trigger pull, but not by much.
CONs: Trigger may not reset due to reduced spring power, and might even be unsafe.

We void the warranty for the same reason that Remington would void your warranty if you monkeyed with a trigger mech on an M700.  Modification of the fire control mechanism with non-factory parts or labor is beyond our control and may create an unsafe firearm.  If a rifle is received for repair with a trigger tamer installed, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR ANY REPAIR WORK.

If it's your opinion that the STG trigger needs some help, then why not give it a try?  It takes about a minute to install one, and the same to remove it without any modification to the STG.  I can't answer why such an extremely simple piece of plastic costs so much, but it does have a money back guarantee.  And I don't work for Trigger Tamer!  I'm just someone whom felt that the trigger needed some improvement.  I'm not in a combat situation, so I just wanted a little improvement to the trigger to make my fellow AR buddies a little more jealous when comparing our groups.

I won't speak for MSAR why the trigger tamer voids a warranty, but there is a safety concern anytime a lighter trigger pull is the end result.  And it's definitely lighter with the trigger tamer.

Loving my STG and getting more confident with it every trip to the range.

Well apparently they don't work that well in MSARs, but in my AXR is amazing and I would trust it in a combat situation as the only difference is less creep and 33% less trigger pull.

Why does a piece of plastic cost $50? Why does a scope mount cost $240, why does a flip up sight cost $200? Because they are specialized, people will pay it, and this guy figured out how to make something that works and patented it.
