Added the Steyr red springs which helped the trigger pull a lot. Also added the suppressor gas plug. I took it through a carbine course this weekend and enjoyed putting it through the paces, although I ate a lot of gas, even on the suppressed setting. I put my OTAL-C on the side mount, trying to figure a better way to fit one of my full-sized DBALs on there. It wont attach to the side rail and on top, it makes it a pain to charge and lock the bolt.

@hoevito Did you spray paint the stock? It looks good man.  I like the color choice.

That looks great. Pup Light Master Race, and also cool to see the A3 extended rail with irons.

Thank you.  I really like this configuration. I know that it is different, but I like it. The Pup light is great, I need to buy another one for my other rifle.

I think its fantastic - the A3 really maximizes the potential for using Iron sights. And using the scalaworks Peak sights makes it extra cool.

I think I bought the pup light after reading your review thread on it like a year ago. Was that you?

Possible?

I think I was the first one to buy the Pup Light after discovering it on Ebay ~2015, and I'm such a fan of it I've become a bit of a missionary for spreading the good news about it for ergonomic AUG WML mounting.

Custom Ceracote.  Started as a white M1 A3 NATO extended rail.  Midwest Industries iron sights.  Steiner prism scope, Surefire V1 Vampire light, Ratworx sear.  BFG Vickers sling.  Also has a Corvus Defensio shell deflector that wasn’t reinstalled yet when the picture was taken.

isn't that what the inline scout mounts are for?
cool to see more people doing 12 o clock light mounts, though

I have a few incline scout mounts, that exact one and another

I like 12:00 lights when possible, slim rifles with fewer snags on the sides just fit in cases etc better.

The high 30mm red dot mount puts the clicky cap where it is ergonomic to press.

A remote switch and a lower inline scout mount will be better, but I had that thing on hand

Thanks guys. I do like it pretty well. But I’m not sure I like it enough to replace the RDB. The RDB is just so much lighter, shoots softer, and suppresses better. The Hellion is a much more solid gun with better construction, but the weight difference feels substantial. I would trust it as a go to gun much more than the RDB, but I don’t think anything will replace my 10.5 AR as my go to gun.

Divorce finalized late last year after three years of court .picked up an RDB today. All of those have been purchased in the last four months lol. I need to slow down. It's nice being free again.

@Seiran

From the above photo:

Standard RDB17.
Lucky Irish Handguard
Lucky Irish Bolt release
Haga Defense Magwell
Haga Defense Buttstock
3D printed hand protector
Midnight Bronze Cerakote
Strike Industries short vert grip
Unity Mod button for Holosun IR laser and a Surefire 300V.
Primary Arms SLX Micro Prism 1x
Griffen supressor mount brake and blast shield.

As of today, I decided it was too bright, so I put it back in the blast cabinet and redid the Cerakote. Still Midnight Bronze, but I smoked it with some black and then rubbed it off to “age” the bronze and tone it down a bit. It’s a subtle difference, but I’m much happier with it. Swapped out the Strike vert for a Magpul. I also stippled the grip. Pictured with my form 1 can.

It’s been said that After HK was contracted to fix it, it’s just suboptimal. As part of their consultation, HK gave additional advice on how to not let civilians have one.

In other words, not a chance in hell HK wanted to deal with warranty issues.

While my time on the rifle is fairly limited, I thought it was a fine service rifle. I shot it out to 400 yards without issue and with two full days of training with over a dozen rifles on the range, I believe there was only one malfunction. It was balanced, had very low recoil, and all the guys had confidence in the rifle.

Thx! I published the design just last week, I called it the AUGGERS paddle. The whole AUG paddle idea turned out a lot more graceful than I was anticipating and feels really intuitive to operate.
