Just a thought: Did you anneal the brass? If you may have over annealed them resulting in too soft of a neck.

Not annealed. And I'm still new enough to not understand what "mic" means.  Measure?

"Mic" means measure.

Crimp doesn't hold the bullet in place, neck tension does. All the crimp in the world won't increase neck tension.

Neck tension is set when you size the brass. As stated, check your expander or whatever you're using to size the neck and compare that measurement to the diameter of the bullets you're seating.
