I have some of the explosia manufactured powders.  Just need time to start loading it.

Read many good things about it from Europe.

I have their ''Blackout'' powder for 7.62x39 but I don't like it. The only reason is you have to use near full pressure, high power loads of it or you get large amounts of unburnt fouling in the receiver.
And I mean LOTS of unburnt powder, during load work ups it started building up in the bolt locking lug channels  and rails almost to the point of malfunction with the lower pressure loads till I got up into the near MAX loads. You have to have a lot of junk in a AK to make it malf but had almost enough after just 40 rounds.

Once I got into higher pressure loads it performed well, had little if any fouling and measures like water. I developed a nice, accurate (for an AK) load that shoots much better than any factory ammo.

In my experience with it, it's not worth it. It costs almost as much as any other suitable powder, has less versatility, and can't be used with sub-sonic loads or reduced very much from MAX power due to the fouling.

I bought 8lbs of it, have 6 left and won't buy any more. I like H-4198 so much better.

Did you try magnum rifle primers?

[#6]
No. I thought about it but I'm not going to waste more costly magnum primers on a gun and cartridge that was designed to, and is fired, almost as fast as a MG.

My intention to reload this round is to load it cheaper than can be bought AND improve accuracy, only the former was achieved with this powder.

With H-4198 I can achieve both with cheaper plated bullets.

I'm done messing with that powder,  I don't see a point to it.

Yes, it's sold under the brand name Accurate, also Lovex. I'm not sure if Accurate sold much of this European-produced powder on the American market, but most available Accurate powders here were made by Explosia/Lovex.

I've heard some of the load data for American versus European Accurate powder isn't interchangeable, so preferably use specific data for either. There were conversion charts which explained which Lovex powders were a match to specific Accurate equivalents, such as this one.

It is good quality, although we would not generally opt for it over Viht or Hodgdon powder, or Reload Swiss. It's a bit cheaper than most others, so cost is usually the primary factor for choosing it.

I have AA No. 5 (D036) and Solo 1000 (S015). Haven't used S015 yet, but I loaded D036 in .44 Spl quite often.

AA#5 is currently made in the USA. I have a bottle from 2007 that doesn't mention where it was made. Could Be rebranded Lovex, and I like that old powder better than the new stuff. Now I'm wondering if I should try a bottle of D036.

The folks importing it is about 1.5 Hr drive from me. I contacted them and asked if they sell powder at their facility and they said yes and no. I was wanting to buy 5-10 LBS of their various powders.  They asked me how far away I was told them 1.5HR away and they told me to buy it from a gun shop which is 4 hrs away from me? I explained that was way further away and they never responded back. They did not seem to want my business so I shopped elsewhere.

Lock this thread please!  I've tried to keep them my secret for suppressed 300 for a while now.  Don't spoil it.

I only have experience with their 300 blackout powder.   I do not have a lot of different powders under my belt, so I cannot compare it to much.  However I have not found anything negative to say about it.  If you use a Lee powder disc wheel set up it does not leak like some Hogden does.

Accurate Powder specifically states that THEIR powder is NOT supplied to the European Union:
SPECIAL NOTE CONCERNING WESTERN POWDERS, INC. PRODUCTS IN THE EUROPEAN UNION:

Western Powders, Inc. currently does not supply any of our brands/powders to the EU. There is also no relationship with the CZECH company “Explosia”. As a result, Western Powders, Inc. has no quality control of the powders distributed in the EU by Explosia, which they claim to be “Accurate® equivalents”.

Please contact Explosia® directly regarding any powders distributed by them under the LOVEX® brand.

When Western Powders, Inc. supplies data for Accurate® powders, it is relevant only to the powders currently certified by Western Powders, Inc., Montana in the USA.
While the burn rate chart shows a similarity between AA#5 and D036-3, that's about as close as they are to each other.  NEVER use a burn rate chart to substitute one powder for another without doing a thorough load development with the new powder.

The load data on Lovex's site is different enough from that on Shooters World's site that I'd be cautious to use one or the other, but not get the two mixed up.  I'm not sure whether I'd be able to use the Lovex data directly, since they use specific components that may not be available here.
