Had a buddy run across an old timer that gave him some reloading stuff. In turn he passed it to me since he doesn't reload.

No hard count yet but maybe, 500 38spl cases, 250 .223rem cases, 500 moly coated 22cal bullets, 5-7 bullet molds w/ handles, and two bottles of "grease"

Now I'm trying to figure out what the "grease" is.  I suspect it's a moly for coating bullets, but it's wet like anti-seize. Only stuff I have seen as moly has been powdery like graphite.

Of course the mandatory pictures.

Details on the molds?
Oh for the grease? My guess is he used it to keep his press lubed.

Nice score! I do reload but I don't cast bullets. The grease could possibly be a home brew lube for the cast bullets.

Is it a little gritty?   Looks almost like a lapping compound or maybe even  JB Bore Paste

The grease looks like it came in a small container like my Moly trigger lube that was spendy.  Try some on a hammer/trigger/sear that need smoothing.  Might be good stuff.

You could waste a bit, smear it between your fingers feeling for any grit.  Feel any grit and you have bore paste or junk.  Super smooth and you have a quality grease.

Looks like JB bore paste.  If he had moly'd bullets, that would make sense.

Oh and the steel Folgers can is priceless.  I can remember seeing those all the time, now everything is plastic...

Got some "in depth" on the molds ??  ID numbers, pics of mold cavity ?

Some of the rifle bullets have been moly coated.

The molds are a good score.   Even if you don't like the mold design you got handles.   You can sell or swap the molds you can't use for ones  you like.    None of those mold numbers seemed rare.   LBT is a custom small maker, the Lee molds are less expensive Starter brand but with a lot of well liked designs.   RCBS, saeco, and Lyman hold their value better.   Condition is everything.

The "grease" looks like J-B bore polish.  Same color, same container, but it has lost its label.

Scoring molds is always a good day.  I hoard molds.
