I've gotten a few questions about my press mounts so here goes. First off, I'm not a machinist or welder, just a do it yourselfer, don't look too close at the welds. Here is a picture of mount:

The portion that mounts to the bench is a 12" length of 2 1/2" (outside dimension) x 2 1/2 x 3/16 wall tubing . Welded to that are two pieces of 3/8" x 1 1/2" x 4 1/2" bar stock. The uprights on my bench are 5" wide so if you only have 2x4s you would have to come up with something different. I drilled two 9/16" holes 2 1/2" from the top and then welded on 1/2" nuts for the adjustment bolts. The bolts are 1/2" x 1". I'd like to find some toggle bolts like on a drill press table but haven't been able to find any.  A picture's worth a thousand words:

The piece that mounts to the press, vice, or whatever is 18" x 2" x 2" x 3/16 wall tubing with a flat plate welded on top. For my presses a 3/8" x 5" x 5" plate was perfect, leaving enough room to mount a swivel tray in front of the press. To get the holes in the right spot for your press use a transfer punch. I also added some non-skid tape opposite the adjustment bolts. Close ups:

I've been really happy with the mounts, they are solid and I did tweak the height a few times to get it comfortable.

Looks nice and looks like something I might add to my work bench build that I am planning out.

Your working with leverage on the bench leg, but screwed to the floor, I think your gtg.

In the 1st pic, I thought "one bolt"...

The second pic with 2 bolts I thought "nice"

Well done...

Looks cool,

where are you storing the items that are not in use?

Thank guys.

Right now that's all I am using, nothing to store. I do use the vise as a quick change mount. My swager, trimmer, etc are fastened to wood bases and clamped in the vise.

Is there much wobble with the press.  That reminds me of a receiver hitch.  Excellent idea!

Mmmm.  SKIPPY Creamy.

The mount is solid, no wobble what so ever. I have hydronic in floor heat so the bench leg isn't fastened to the floor, but a brace goes from the bottom of the leg to the back of the bench, which is fastened to the concrete wall.

We go through lots of Skippy!

Do you crank down the adjustment/tension bolts, of do you just have to get them snug?

I'd say snug, I don't crank on them.

I would like to find a knob or handle instead of a bolt for my vise mount especially, I do adjust the height on that quite a bit. I'd like to find something like this, but haven't found any that specify bolt and thread size: http://www.ereplacementparts.com/table-lock-handle-p-151325.html
