I currently reload for every gun I own and have never had any problems. Having said this, I am hesitant to reload for my new Glock 43 due to hearing and reading all the horror stories involving kabooms when using reloads in a Glock.
While most appear to have been 40SW there are enough examples of 9mm to give pause. I'd like to hear some input from real world users who have loaded for this gun to see if the probability of a failure outweighs the benefits of loading my own.

I know not to use bare lead bullets, however I have a good supply of Berrys Preferred Plated bullets. Would these be acceptable as a lower cost alternative to FMJ bullets?

My G43 has shot nothing but reloads.  About half have been Berry's 115 gr. plated.  The other half are 124 gr cast, powder coated.  Normal 9mm loads. That's what it is designed to shoot...

You'll be fine, the 40 failures were early model guns with unsupported chambers, the issue was fixed.

Some guys run bare lead in the factory barrel but clean it religiously.

Jacketed, plated, or coated and you're fine.  I shoot Berrys in my 19 and 42.
