So, I think Im gonna start reloading for my AR-15. I reload for my .308 right now so I kinda know what I am doing. My question is, who makes the best plinking bullets for DECENT accuracy. SAA has some Armscor for $94 for 1000, I can do 68gr Hornady match for $80 per 500. The list goes on. I am wondering where I can get some decent bullets that can shoot around 1 MOA ( Assuming I do my part).

I think the hornady 55s are considered a good starting place, especially if you luck into a 6K value pack but those are kind of rare these days although Brownells had them and free shipping right before New Years.
I have a bunch of Winchester 55s with cannelure but I'm told the cannelures are all over the place so be careful with them. I'm plinking at 50 yds so I think I'm good with them.

Longer distances will require heavier bullets I think but someone will be along soon to help with that.

Armscor bullets shoot patterns, not groups.

Hornady 55 gr SP and FMJBT are both good accurate bullets.

Sierra 69 gr MK's shoot better than Hornady 68 grainers for me.

Most folks consider Hornady 55gr SP and FMJBTw/c are the best combo of value and accuracy, with many giving the edge to the SPs.

Powder Valley usually has the best everyday prices . . . eg 6k x Hornady 55gr SP or FMJBT = $490.
