Dillon Decapping die is getting hung on primers--prob one every 15 or so.
I've read that you can take take a file to the pin but not sure where or how much material to remove. When i set a 9mm case on top of the shellplate I can see it push the primer out and then pull it back in halfway. |

Quoted: It's not a matter of how much to remove. You just want the end of the pin to be smooth and rounded, not sharp. Normally done with pin chucked in drill and 400grit wet/dry sandpaper. Makes sense. I normally use the ball end decappers that have a smooth rounded tip. I bought them to help center up in case a primer pocket was slightly off center. |
