My son volunteered to make me some 9mm loading blocks. So I sent him this very useful archived loading block thread and he called from the shop wanting to know how deep I want the holes for 9mm.
Anybody have one nearby they can measure or know? Planned diameter of holes per the thread are 13/32 for 9, on 3/4 inch centers ....... am looking for depth of hole for 9mm (so they don't end up too deep) and I am not in position to measure. |

OFF THIS - disregard He's going 3/8 depth. |

The way I found the depth was to take a 9mm case and place it in a hole drilled in a scrap piece of wood. Deep enough so cases doesn't tip over, but not too deep as to keep the powder funnel from sitting on the case, and still easy to pick out. Just went out to the shop and measured, they were 3/8 inch deep on my 9mm blocks. Keep in mind if you go a little deeper, the loading blocks can also be used for 223. |
