Does anybody know the case capacity of the different brands of 6.8 brass. I only have SSA and Hornady on hand and I would like to know if any of the other brands have a higher capacity.

Welcome to Arfcom and the Reloading Forum.

The tried and true method is to fill your fired cases with water and weigh them.

This will tell you the capacity of your brass.

I don't have a 6.8, so I can't help you.

About 31 grains of stick powder and maybe 32 grains of ball powder. Most "usable" loads are between 26 gr and 29.5 gr, depending on bullet size, COL... Etc.

Case capacity is measure in grains of H20, not powder.

As pointed out, take a fired case and weigh it, then fill with H20 and weigh again, subtract, this is you internal case capacity.

Check the 2 that you already have and compare.

Why the need for "higher capacity" brass?

I was having to compress the powder more than I like to with the 120gr SST bullets with 8208xbr but just decided to try other powders and it's no longer a problem.

Aa2200 is the go to powder in 68.  Works well for me and I switched to it exclusively.

Compressing powder is perfectly safe and exceptable as long as there is data to support the charge .

Compressed charges even heavily compressed are preferred by many.
