Hi guys,

I am decently "newer" to reloading.

I have worked up some great loads with Sierra Matchking 175g and wanted to try the New Tipped MatchKing.

I set the die to 2.830 and worked up a ladder from 42.0 - 42.5 - 43.0 - 43.5 - 44.0 grains of varget.

I noticed (after 50 rounds, yes... I am dumb) that ALL of the rounds shared this characteristic after being reloaded. The bullet seems to be deformed after seating.

NOTE - Seating was "tougher" than the 175 SMK

NOTE - It happened on every round, some worse than others.

What am I doing wrong?

check your seating stem and make sure it doesn't have any build up or grease in it.

You might try a die with a floating stem.

Are you seating and crimping in the same step?
What seater die are you using?
