Ordered some 30 cal tracers from wideners.  They said these would be the last tracers they got from the de-mil folks.

1200 rds for 150= $200 delivered.

I hope your range is fireproof. I regret loading up the tracers I bought back in the 90s

Can't say that's a really phenomenal deal. I think a lot of people buy them for plinking before they find out the limitations. The limitation being fire.

Not all powders will set off the tracer compound reliably, or even well at all... but regardless, tracers represent a fire hazard that can't be discounted, especially if it's dry in your area.

They also tend to not be very accurate... accurate enough for plinking, probably, but still not exactly match bullets.

I always wanted to shoot tracers on steel targets. Seems like an entertaining mix of fun and asking for trouble.

Agree...

Definitely a no no in TX.

Careful, OP.

Not a much of a deal for plinking at 17cents each, but okay if you're specifically wanting tracers.

I enjoy shooting reloaded tracers although you can't do stupid things like shoot them into hay bales or desert dry shrubs/grass.
