I have read that the .50 Beowulf needs large magnum pistol primers, and that cci 350 are the best for it? I don't have any of those, and haven't been able to find any locally, but I do have winchester large pistol which say they are for standard or magnum loads. Does anyone know firsthand if these will be ok? The CCI were supposedly a harder primer and not prone to slamfires iirc.

I've loaded them with large pistol primers most of the time and even sometimes large rifle primers. You won't have a problem.

All I've ever used is the Winchester Large Pistol and CCI Large Pistol in my Beosulf. No Magnums.
