| Stuck case. Cuss cuss some more get out the drill and taps, got it out. First time in almost 35 years of reloading. Processing 556 brass triming , Swagging primer pockets on 1000 cases is not fun anymore. Using RCBS pump spray not sure if I like it. |
| Try this. I just learned it from a friend and it works. Seal up the die and case, fill it with water. Then put in the freezer. It pushes the case right out. I drilled and tapped the flash hole, installed a screw and o-ring. If your die has a relief hole in the die, make sure you tape up the hole. Works great |

Let me recommend some good home made lanolin lube, |

Shit I've probably had about 30 by now. Had a lot of 30-06 brass with thin rims, stamped 88. I'd rip those damned rims off all the time. Finally got tired of it and just retired that brass, even though it was otherwise fine.
But I didn't really become a master of chucking the drill and spinning the Allen wrench on stuck case removal until I switched to the spray lube. That's when things really went to Hell! |
| I guess that I am one of the 'lucky' ones, in that all I use is spray lube. Maybe it is because of the calibers that I load for, but I have not had an issue with stuck cases for several years. I reload for several calibers from .223 up to .338 Winchester mag and 45-70. The way I figure it is that at some point in time there is going to be a 'issue' with a stuck case and that just goes along with reloading. |
| I have only ever had one and have sized about 10K pieces of rifle brass (308, 300BLK, and 223). It was within my first 20 cases that I sized and I didn't fully read the Hornady One Shot directions. After reading them and following the directions I haven't stuck a case since and all I use is One Shot. |

Had a few stuck cases with a bad 223 die from RCBS. No die, no stuck cases. Well, except the one I did when playing around without proper shell plate...
Sometimes screwing die into a single stage press and sliding the shell holder in on what is left of the rim of case is enough to get a bite on the case. That is usually how I start. I like the idea of freezing but ain't nobody got time for that! |

I've been reloading for around 6 years now and I've had probably a dozen stuck cases using all kinds of commercial lube. Last year I started making my own lanolin lube and not a single stuck case since! Same. I just had one today and I had switched over to the One Shot. Back to the bootleg. |

I have had terrible luck with OneShot. I used RCBS lube after that and had pretty decent results, but switched to Dillon lube and it's been great. I still have to use Imperial Wax on the .458 though. |
