It's had good reviews here. I'll either be using that kit or building one entirely of wood.

If you're asking because you'd like to know 2X4 studs are about $3-4. I'm not sure what 3/4" plywood is per sheet.

actually, I was asking because $69 isn't going to be the final price.  And lumber is higher than that in my area.

I'm answering as an experienced woodworker.

To me if you can cut 2x4's and plywood to fit that kit, you could cut 2x4's for your own bench legs.

What ever you do be sure to wood glue and screw your bench together.

Nails will work loose.

If you want ready built,

Don't know if you have looked at this thread for ideas,

My bench is on pg 6.

Good luck with your decision.

That's just the 2x4 basics bench, probably find it cheaper on amazon.  I have a couple of them,  one  as my reloading bench and one in the garage.  They work great, easily customize a bench to fit any area, I bought it originally because I was living in an apartment and needed a smaller set up.

Last time I looked it was the same price. There is somewhere that $5 cheaper. I'll add a link. Sometimes they will drop them to $50.

Correction, $4 cheaper.

I just finished my bench using this kit. The kit comes with the needed screws to assemble, however I used some deck screws that I had around. Bench is sturdy but I may still fasten to the wall. I used 2x6s to support the top with three sheets of 3/4in plywood on top of that. Looking back I could have built legs that were just as strong for less money out of wood, and I could cut the legs to the length I wanted. (Top is 36in tall if you build to their specs)...... Bought mine off amazon 2x4 basic kit. My 2 cents

Id build from scratch.  Plastic always worries me.  Double up the top with 2 layers of 3/4" plywood, glued and screwed together.  Build a ladder under your top where your press mounts to take the flex out from your press.

Could just buy the metal brackets that do the same thing at the Home Depot

I picked this up a few weeks ago to upgrade my bench. (If you could call it that) The instructions were vague at best but I got her up and couldn't be happier. I really like the light on it. Best $100 I've spent in a while.

Just adding another option - I like the upper storage on the OP's linked bench, but loading inside the house, this one's a bit more 'inside friendly,' and not a bad deal for ~$130 or so or less when on sale + coupon:

I have both the HF bench as well as the Northern Tool bench kit.

I built the bench 8' wide and anchored it to the wall; it's very sturdy.

Here's a pic I took a year or so ago that shows both of them.

print the ad off before you go in there.  i bought an engine hoist from them once, online it was $129, in the store it was $159.  they honored the online price because i printed it off.  had a $20 off coupon too.

I built mine using this kit, although it is 8 feet wide. I had to add acouple of braces to the center of the upper levels due to sagging.  Works great.

The Lowes bench above, my wife's boss got that for her store. It is not very solid. She fixes sewing machines on it, but I would not want to reload on it. I am going to reinforce it for her with 3/4 plywood I have around

And you may want to make it much larger.  The reloading hobby tends to grow and grow.  Presses seem to multiply somehow.  I started with a 4 foot bench and graduated to two eight foot benches.

Thank you all for the replies and sorry for the delay in responding. And, yes, I have definitely looked through the reloading bench picture thread a few times. And I get more jealous each time. Some of you guys have insane reloading rooms. I also love the safe picture thread and the girlfriend picture thread is nice too.
