| Just noticed. I bought 5000 of the Tula SP primers back when we had the add posting here. No hazmat charge. Well used them back then and they seemed ok. Put up some 9mm .40 and some .45. Sometime a year later i started having ft fire. Striker fired pistol. The ones that would not go off i used in m Beretta 92 and most shot. On the ones that did not go off i looked closely and i see green corrosion around the primers. I checked my stock and sure enough all the Tula SP primers have this green corrosion. Stored at the same time CCI, Tula SR and wolf primers all are fine. Don't think i will purchase those Tulas ever again. |

Odd. I have never had that problem but I reload for my SMG's and pistols so they get shot up fast.
Only problem I have is a rare failure to fire in my SIG P228 with the Tula primers. How long were they stored? I think the Tula use a brass cup and CCI use a nickel plated brass cup. That could certainly be a difference in the corrosion. |

| Don't remember when i got them. After i got them there was some reports of a bad batch. Maybe 3 or 4 years ago. When i first loaded them they were fine. Stored in a heated basement. In original packaging. And ammo cans. It's more a problem with the striker fired pistol. When used in a hammer fired most all go off. I thought it might be a storage problem but all the other brands stored with them are fine. The small Tula rifle primers are fine. |
