Just came across these for organizing all my loose rounds.
I simply have to many to put them all in MTM cases and these are a lot cheaper than the Styrofoam ones. I like how they come printed with the cartridge and are designed to hold 30 rounds (for 556...). Also price is right, $30 with shipping gets you 3000 rounds of storage. Any pros? Cons? Any feedback? Thanks. Repack Boxes

Quoted: I use plastic ammo boxes for my precision loads. Bulk loads go into an ammo can with a card with load info. It goes into ammo cans until it's time to hit the range - then I just load up my styrofoam boxes. I originally started putting everything I reloaded into boxes but the wall of boxed ammo I was creating was stacking too high

I use them for shotshells, but not for rifle/handgun. I like to use plain old White Block ziploc bags. I order them in a variety of sizes from 2x3" to 9X12" and store spare gun parts and range ammo in them. I do so much ammo testing I find that bags are much easier to keep up with than boxes or even the MTM plastic boxes and up take much less room. |

I have reused boxes found in the trash at the range. A buddy used to buy re-manufactured ammo that came in boxes like this, and kept them for me.
They make it easy to count what's in an ammo can, and I use a labeler to put the date and other load information on the boxes. |

When I ckicked the link I loled! Just loaded 200 rnds 223 and used a ziplock bag today. I honestly don't see a need if you have 50cal cans. I personally wouldn't waste the money http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c328/jasnc2/Mobile%20Uploads/20150118_124538_zps2ac74e1a.jpg That's my modus operandi right now as well. My new years resolution was to be more organized! |

I use these with the Styrofoam inserts. I've had them for 5 or 6 years and cycled them 5 or 6 times now. Still in nice shape so they're worth the extra $$ IMO.
ETA - I'm too slow.. |

Those were what I was originally going to go with. But being never satisfied with my first instincts, I started looking around for other options. If these boxes don't hold up, I'll try the Styrofoam ones you posted. |

I use the repack boxes in 223, 7.62x39 and 40 S&W. They are perfect fit ammo can storage and they take up the least amount of room. Each rifle box has a quantity of the rifle mag. Ar15 = 30 etc. My plinking reloads and bulk ammo goes in these boxes.
You can easily fit 30% more ammo in a ammo can compared to factory Styrofoam boxes. It is also nice for carrying to the range He also has pretty good deals on ammo cans if you look on his website. I bought 12 slightly rusty used cans for less than $100 and they were in really good shape. Half had zero rust, the others had very slight rust. |

I get all the boxes I want from the range trash cans. Bulk loads like my 9mm just go into a 30cal can. Sometimes I load rounds on strippers and toss those in an ammo can to hit the range. And often I put up test loads in whatever is handy that helps me keep the different loads straight. I like keeping stuff in boxes for the simplicity of organizing it in storage. |

I'm pretty much in this camp. But I have several cubic feet of range trash 9mm trays and boxes too, so I stick my nines in boxes. All sounds familiar, I have a 50 gallon shipping container full of boxes and trays of oddball and/or seldom used calibers. The common ones go into the MM or other small boxes. 5.56 or .45 go in small plastic ammo cans, 'cause I get carried away sometimes and shoot till my trigger finger goes numb..... |
| I have used a short ton of the 7.62x51 boxes. Great little boxes. I only buy the 7.62x51 version. They'll hold 40 rounds of 5.56, 40 rounds of .300 Whisper/Blackout, 30 rounds of 6.8 SPC or 60 rounds of 9mm. Much easier to keep track of how much ammo I have left out of a given batch than grabbing a handful loose out of an ammo can. |

| They're nice for what they are. If you're OCD and/or like to keep track of how many rounds you've got loaded up (and need a more precise number than 'a 30 cal can holds roughly xx rounds of yy'), they work really well for that purpose. Generally, I just use 30 cal cans for bulk ammo (223, 45 and 9mm) and MT plastic boxes that don't really wear out for my precision loads. I've shied away from 50 cal cans anymore, just because they're a pain to carry/move when full. |
