I'm always trying to increase volume, decrease time, and deliver press ready brass.  Still fooling around with the right "polishing compound" for volume and have it cost effective yet repeatable.

A friend was at the shop and started laughing at the setup so I thought some of you guys would get a kick out of this little video.

So that was separating media from cases?

Cool, thank you.  I have to get a ton of brass ready every month so saving time is essential.

Need some details here.  All I see is what looks like sand coming out of a spinning blue drum.

Simple specs:

- Corn media
- Cobalt cement mixer from Lowes
- 1/4" wire mesh from Home Depot
- Replace the bolts holding the blades with longer bolts.  When installing, reverse the bolts so you can install wingnuts and fender washers on the outside of the drum
- Use caution with the mesh, form it around the drum and watch for sharp edges.
- Use polishing mix (working on a new formula)
- Stand to the side of the mixer with beverage in hand, smiling.

I clean 15,000-16,500 9mm per cement mixer every 90 minutes.  My system is much faster for media collection than what's shown in the video.

I've read about using a cement mixer for tumbling, first time I've seen it.

Never mind, dumb question that I can't believe I asked!
