So I started playing with my LNL bought almost a year ago but not have had the time to play with it but now I have the time. Today I tried starting to load 9mm but had a problem with the powder measure and that the 9mm shell would not push it high enough that the powder would drop into the shell. I lost all my instructions and I'm lost not sure if I need to buy a handgun powder sleeve? I don't know thanks for the help.

Hornady Case Activated Powder Drop Manual

Hornady LNL AP Manual

All from the Hornady Current User Manuals website.

Long story short your powder drop should've come with three sleeves (#17, #18 and #19 in the exploded view).

I'd give Hornady a call and ask, but if I recall correctly the manual for the powder drop was just printed sheets stapled together. So you can handle that one yourself.

I think the press manual was just a printed paper booklet on 11x17 then folded in half and stapled in the center.

If they ask for shipping costs then it would be cheaper just to print it yourself.

In fact, I did end up losing my powder drop manual and had to print another.

Consider buying the PTX (powder thru expander) sleeve specifically for (eg) 9mm. In addition to giving the height needed to case-activate, it can put a bell on the case end for seating.
