eh gimicky if you ask me. I mark my primer rod in increments of 5 from the point of 40 remaining. I've done enough reloading to pretty much figure out how much to fill the hopper leaving just an inch left when i'm done depending on how many rounds i'm dropping. Count....that's easy...look at the empty primer cases. I sharpie mark partial boxes and just count all without marks then the final marked number to know my rounds.
